Including one of the best rom-coms of the 21st century, don’t @ us.
Chances are you’ll be taking it easy this weekend, since you’ll probably want to save all of your money and good costumes for Halloween itself on Thursday.
With that in mind, maybe a movie night is the way to go?
You could head to the cinema to check out the latest releases (which we’ve reviewed in full right here), or you can sit in and watch one (or more) of these instead:

Sweet Home Alabama – Comedy Central – 9pm
Reece Witherspoon plays the big-city gal who is about to get married to her new beau (Patrick Dempsey), but she need to return to her small home town and get her first husband (Josh Lucas) to sign off on the divorce papers. Legitimately one of the best romantic comedies of the 21st century. Deal with it.
Deadpool – Film4 – 9pm
Ryan Reynolds has a smart mouth, a good aim, and the power to not die in this adults-only superhero movie.
The Railway Man – RTE2 – 10pm

Scream – Dave – 11pm
The arrival of the horror-movie-that-knows-it-is-a-horror-movie genre, this still stands out as the best of the bunch, especially thanks to that rug-pull of an opening scene, and the ultimate revelation that YOU DID NOT SEE COMING, so don’t even pretend that you did.
The Sapphires – BBC One – 12.10am
Chris O’Dowd stars as the manager of four young, talented Australian Aboriginal girls learn about love, friendship and war as their all-girl group The Sapphires travels to Vietnam to entertain the US troops.
Pain & Gain – Channel 4 – 12.15am
Mark Wahlberg, The Rock, and Anthony Mackie star in this true-crime action-thriller by Michael Bay, who is doing his best Coen Brothers impression by telling a story of extortion and kidnapping in the world of gym ownership.
