Remember these?
We all have our favorite characters from TV shows and while we’ve made a strong point for certain supporting characters to be given their own spin-off , what about those brief but memorable one-off characters?
The rules for this list are simple, the following characters could only appear in one episode and they had to be memorable.
Here’s 10 of our favourites.
Hank Scorpio – The Simpsons
Episode: You Only Move Twice.
Makes the grade because: He’s totally mad but in a way that we love, you wouldn’t see Richard Branson wielding a flamethrower. We do feel guilty for leaving out Frank Grimes and Lyle Lanley but they weren’t the mastermind behind Project Arcturus.

Valery the Russian special forces soldier – The Sopranos
Episode: Pine Barrens
Makes the grade because: In one of the best episodes of TV ever made, this indestructible soldier somehow managed to steal the attention away from Paulie and Christopher.
Here’s the list of setbacks he sustained; chocked with a floor lamp, cracked his wind pipe, chewed through duct tape, shot in the head but still carried on.
Terence Winter has even said that Valery’s fate is still one of the most popular questions that he gets asked about by fans of the show.

Krazee-Eyez Killa – Curb Your Enthusiasm
Episode: Krazee-Eyez Killa
Makes the grade because: The entire “I’m coming to get ya” song will have you in bits.

Country Mac – It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Makes the grade because: We’re sad to be leaving out Pepper Jack and Gail the Snail but neither of them can give an ocular patdown, jump into the Schuylkill river or constantly find themselves with beer.
It’s just a shame that Country Mac had to die but Frank gave him a fitting farewell, flushing his ashes down the toilet at Paddys Pub.

The Soup Nazi – Seinfeld
Episode: The Soup Nazi
Makes the grade because: The look of pure hatred in his eyes is only matched by the sheer vitriolic pleasure that he gets from telling people that there’s ‘NO SOUP FOR YOU!’.
The Slaver- Game of Thrones
Makes the grade because: He delivered one of the best lines in Game Of Thrones history.
Dr. Baldharar – Friends
Episode: The One with the Fake Monica
Makes the grade because: We were tempted to go with Rachel’s ex-boyfriend Tommy ‘The Screamer’ or Brad’s Pitt character Will but neither of them were quite as fecked up in the head like this guy.
Remember when Ross was wondering what to do with Marcel after he started humping everything in sight? Well, cast your mind back to this chat.
Dr. Baldharar: Uh, how is Marcel at handling small objects?
Ross: He can hold a banana, if that’s what ya mean.
Dr. Baldharar: What about a hammer, or a small blade?
Ross: Why… why… why would he need a blade?
Dr. Baldharar: Well, if he’s up against a jungle cat or an animal with horns, you’ve got to give the little guy something. Otherwise it’s just cruel.
What a memorable weirdo.

Sexual Harassment Panda – South Park
Episode: Sexual Harassment Panda
Makes the grade because: It’s a panda bear. That sings…about sexual harassment. What else do you need to know?
April – The IT Crowd
Episode: The Speech
Makes the grade because: She’s the perfect comedic foil that allows the deranged lunacy of Douglas Reynholm to come out. This interview and their break-up fight is one of The IT Crowd’s most surreal moments.
Pat Mustard – Father Ted
Episode: Speed 3
Makes the grade because: Pat’s a former Mr World, he fought in Vietnam and his last girlfriend’s have all died from exhaustion.
The Craggy Island police also hounded him because he was too gorgeous but Fr Ted was always suspicious of Mr Mustard’s intentions to put his big tool into Mrs Doyle’s box.
It really was a crying shame that he ended up having to yank himself off around the clock.
