We’re half way through the week. We can do this!
Did you see the weather forecast? No thank you!
You could head to the cinema, or you could sit in and enjoy one of these instead:
WEDNESDAY 30 JANUARY
50 First Dates – Comedy Central – 8.00pm
Adam Sandler falls in love with Drew Barrymore, who is playing a woman who suffers from short-term memory loss, and every day she wakes up, she has no memory of the day before. So he must continue to find a way to have her fall in love with her every single day. A cute little rom-com if you don’t think about it too hard.
Big Game – FilmFour – 9.00pm
Sam Jackson is the President of the United States, and he survives the destruction of Air Force One, only to be forced to survive the Scandinavian tundra, with only a local teenager for help.
Ransom – TCM – 11.00pm
Mel Gibson and Rene Russo play a happily married couple who have their lives turned upside down when their son is kidnapped and held to ransom. Instead of paying it, Gibson volunteers the ransom to anyone in the public who can help him find the kidnappers. Twists and turns aplenty follow.
The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – More4 – 11.05pm
Director Ron Howard (Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code) examines the early years of the Beatles, from their club dates in Liverpool, England, to their concert tours in Europe and the rest of the world in this fantastic documentary.
The Adjustment Bureau – ITV4 – 11.45pm
Matt Damon and Emily Blunt are two strangers who might by chance and fall desperately in love, only for some sinister forces to attempt to intervene and keep them apart. It isn’t often that cinema attempts to fuse sci-fi and romance together, but this is one of the times that it really works out.
Predator – FilmFour – 12.55am
It is never not a good time to watch Predator.
