King Kong aint got shit on this.
Antoine Fuqua is one busy man. The director’s latest film Southpaw is currently in cinemas and he’s about to launch into a remake of The Magnificent Seven starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.
The man that also helmed King Arthur and Shooter has ambitions to conquer the small screen also after he announced a return to the setting of his debut, the mean streets of LA from the beloved Training Day.
Like many of you, I’d happily watch Denzel Washington in any role but his Oscar winning performance as the corrupt, violent and dangerous Detective Alonzo Harris was one of his best.
The show will reportedly take place 15 years after the film and focus on the relationship between two new police officers, no surprise given how the events in that film played out.
The show is destined to be a hit because Fuqua has also managed to get Hollywood uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer on board also.
This has massive potential to be a hit.
