The voice of Frosties, DJ Lee Marshall, has died aged 64.

For over a decade the man behind the world famous ‘They’re Greeeeeeaaaat’ tagline was LA-based DJ Lee Marshall. The 64-year-old took over from the original voice of Tony the Tiger, Thurl Ravenscroft, in 2005 after sharing the duties for a number of years with the man who had been the voice of the cartoon tiger since the 1950s.

Marshall, who died from esophageal cancer, has also had spells as a wrestling announcer and voice-over artist and he presented radio shows in major American cities like San Diego, Phoenix and LA.
