Last night, the Darwin Rose in the Rose of Tralee, Catríona Brennan, amazed the masses with her ability to name the 32 counties of Ireland in eight seconds.
This amazing feat got the crowds going and people talking and on The Nicky Byrne Show today, with Jenny Green, another Irish girl, Laura Hannon, took on the challenge of naming the 32 counties and managed to recite them all in 6.8 seconds.
Laura said she learned all the counties as a child in school and over the years she had gotten faster and faster when reciting them.
When asked if the young primary school teacher would be entering the Rose of Tralee next year, she said she would have to learn a new party trick for the occasion if she did as her talent had already found its way onto the stage.
Aww, poor Laura, imagine how the Darwin Rose feels to be upstaged during the competition.
