Beloved Irish soap opera Glenroe is returning to our screens for one night only this Christmas

Can't wait

Carl Kinsella

A walk down memory lane.

This Christmas, RTÉ will be broadcasting a one-off documentary about the long-running soap opera Glenroe.

The documentary will be titled Well Holy God it’s Glenroe, and airs on RTÉ at 9.30pm, December 27.

In what will be a serious blast of nostalgia for anyone who remembers the show, the documentary will pay a visit to Glenroe Farm, RTÉ studios and revisit the show’s most memorable storylines – including Fidelma’s infamous roll in the hay with Miley.

The documentary was the idea of Bláthnaid Treacy, who appeared in the show as Miley and Biddy’s daughter Denise – first cast at the age of three months (beside Mary McEvoy in pic below).

Anyone who can’t resist a walk down memory lane will be tuned in to this.
