It’s a scorcher out there.
We hope you’re all behaving responsibly and adhering the rules laid out in phase one of Ireland’s recovery strategy. You’re still social distancing, keeping any gathering to a group of four, and not straying too far from your home, and we’re here to reward you: with movies on TV.
Here are some of the best options on the box this evening.
Friday Night Lights – Sky Atlantic – 9pm
The story of the Dillon Panthers. Emotional sports drama with a high school football team at the heart of small Texas town in economic distress and full of tension.
Anger Management – Comedy Central – 9pm
Starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Loud. Angry.
Jaws – ITV4 – 9pm
A cautionary tale about what happens when you open public spaces and have large gatherings when you really shouldn’t. Though, in this case, the threat is a shark.
Wayne’s World – Comedy Central – 11.05pm
Party time, excellent.
Kill Bill: Volume 2 – Syfy – 11.30pm
The second instalment of Quentin Tarantino’s revenge flick, starring Uma Thurman as a weapon-wielding goddess of destruction. Good fun.
Wanted – ITV4 – 11.2opm
Something about using your mind to control bullets? Not a particularly intellectual film, but it does have Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.
