Odeon Cinemas have polled 1,000 Dubliners on their favourite stars of the big and small screen, and Colin Farrell has narrowly missed out on top spot.
The Castleknock native will be home next week for the premiere of his new film The Lobster, but an Artane man has beaten him to the title of Dublin’s favourite actor.
Brendan Gleeson comes out on top of the poll of more than 1,000 people, with Colm Meaney and Gabriel Byrne in third and fourth place respectively.
Brenda Fricker is the capital’s favourite actress, ahead of Amy Huberman, while Gleeson’s son Domhnall makes it just inside the top ten in ninth position.
