The Irish actor will star opposite Will Forte in the movie for Netflix.
Domhnall Gleeson will star in A Futile And Stupid Gesture, a new Netflix film about the story behind National Lampoon.
Deadline reports that the Dubliner will play Henry Beard, one of the founders of the satirical magazine, with Will Forte playing co-founder Doug Kenney.
David Wain will direct the movie, adapted from Josh Karp’s book A Futile and Stupid Gesture: How Doug Kenney and National Lampoon Changed Comedy Forever.
Gleeson had a steller 2015, starring in Ex Machina, Brooklyn, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Revenant. He is currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is due to film in Ireland in May.
