It has yet to be confirmed whether or not cake jumpers will be available on the night.
Father Ted fans looking to kickstart the festivities early on Easter weekend will be interested to hear of an event taking place in D2 nightclub in Dublin on Holy Thursday.
The annual Father Ted quiz and Lovely Girls competition, hosted by Green Shoes Events in association with Apache Pizza, returns to the Harcourt Street venue on April 13 and tickets are already selling fast.
Hosted by Patrick McDonnell, AKA THE Eoin McLove, the night will feature themed quiz rounds based on trivia from the show, as well as a brief interlude for a fabulous Lovely Girls competition, which, in the interests of equality, is open to both women and men.
Tickets for the event went on sale on Tuesday and there are only limited amount of tables – €35 per table, up to five people per team – left, so try and get in before the crowd.
There will be prizes on the night for the winning team, Lovely Girl and best dressed priest, nun or hairy baby, no doubt to be followed by all of the winners giving a Golden Cleric style speech.
