Game of Thrones Season 6 has a premiere date and more good news

Paul Moore

Winter is coming…in April.

Ever since the credits rolled over the snow of Castle Black, Game of Thrones fans have been counting the days until the HBO smash-hit is back on our screens but the official countdown is now on.

Truth be told, there’s only one thing that everyone has been talking about since the famous finale of ‘Mother’s Mercy’ and you know exactly what we’re referring to.

A certain man that’s loyal, brave and adored by most because his courage was severely tested during a harrowing experience north of The Wall. He was always treated as something of an outsider at Winterfell though however his existence could be the very key to Westeros’ survival. We need him back!

Clearly we’re talking about Hodor.

Well, he’s back on April 24th.

There are so many cliffhangers and questions that need to be answered. For example, can Daenerys escape from that ominous horde of Dothraki, did Sansa and Theon evade the clutches of Ramsay Bolton and will Arya become the most bad-ass person in the realm?

I’ve a feeling that I’m missing somebody.

Jon Snow weather

That’s not all though because HBO programming president Michael Lombardo has confirmed that the network are in conversations with showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss about committing to a seventh and eight series.

To be fair, we’re not exactly surprised at this news because Game of Thrones is fantastic and currently holds the record for the most Emmy wins for a single show in one year, but it’s still good news to read.

Winter is almost here.
