Jon Snow might know nothing, but it turns out that Samwell Tarly knows quite a lot.
John Bradley, the actor who plays loveable bookworm Sam Tarly on Game of Thrones, was on Celebrity Mastermind last night — hoping to raise funds for his charity of choice, The Christie, one of the leading cancer centres in Europe. He credits the charity with saving his mother’s life in 2011.
Strangely enough, John’s chosen category wasn’t curing Greyscale, but British comedy Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Turns our he’s just as adept at that as he is at stealing Gilly’s realisations about Jon Snow’s lineage and passing them off as his own… because he won.
Bradley was rightly chuffed with himself, and showed off his trophy on Instagram, writing “Yeah so it looks like I WON Celebrity Mastermind. ?????Family and friends should be warned that I may be unbearable company for the next few days.”
“Seriously though it was a great experience with lovely people and I’m so happy to raise some money for @christiecharity. They give so much hope to people going through cancer and in 2011 their amazing work meant I didn’t have to say goodbye to my mum.”
