How you can describe a man who was born in Heidelberg to a German father and Irish mother, before moving to Killarney at the age of two and spending his entire childhood and adolescence in Kerry, as ‘English-born’ is beyond us.
The official Golden Globes website, however, has managed it.
German? Yes. Irish? Yes. English? Not one bit.
