Here are some of the new titles that Netflix are adding to its library for October

With all the rugby and football that’s taking place over the next few days, some essential hangover TV is required and the nice people at Netflix have answered the call.

The online streaming service has added some great new titles which should give you plenty of time to ‘Netflix and chill’.

Here are some of the titles that caught our eye;

Beasts of No Nation – 16 October

True Detective director Cary Fukunaga returns behind the lens to tell the story of Agu (Abraham Attah), a young boy in West Africa who sees his happy childhood come shattering down when troops arrive to squelch a rebellion against the country’s corrupt regime.

His mother and sister escape to a nearby city, but Agu is left behind with his father and brother, and shortly thereafter, he is suddenly on his own. Terrified and alone, Agu escapes to the forest where he’s discovered by a company of young rebels led by the charismatic Commandant (Idris Elba).

About Time – Now Streaming

At the age of 21, Tim (Domhnall Gleeson) discovers that he can travel through time and change what happens in his own life.

His decision to charm Mary (Rachel McAdams) isn’t as easy as you might think in this very charming and funny film from Richard Curtis.

Resident Evil : Apocalypse – 21 October

The horror series that can’t be killed returns as Alice awakes in Raccoon City, only to find it has become infested with zombies and monsters.

With the help of Jill Valentine and Carlos Olivera, Alice must find a way out of the city before it is destroyed by a nuclear missile.

Archer (Season 6) – 15 October

Easily one of the funniest TV shows that’s on Netflix at the moment and it’s adding even more episodes to its brilliant roster. If you haven’t watched it yet then you really should, it’s hilarious.

Saving Mr Banks – 24 October

Author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson) travels from London to Hollywood as Walt Disney (Tom Hanks) does his very best to convince her that he’s the right man to adapt her novel, Mary Poppins. Colin Farrell also stars in this heartwarming film.

Jackass presents Bad Grandpa – Now Streaming

Johnny Knoxville and co are back and they’re ruder than ever. The stunts and pranks are even meaner and Knoxville  is so anonymous that the film was even nominated for an Oscar in for Best Makeup.

Winter on Fire : Ukraine’s Fight For Freedom – 9 October

This documentary that chronicles the events that unfolded over 93 days in 2013 and 2014, is a must watch if you’re interested in the civil unrest in Ukraine.

The film captures the remarkable mobilization of nearly a million citizens from across the country protesting the corrupt political regime that utilized extreme force against its own people to suppress their demands and freedom of expression.
