Add these to your list.
You can never rely on Irish weather during the summer which is why these new additions to the Netflix line-up is music to our ears.
There’s a distinctly Irish flavour to some of the new titles but that’s just the tip of the iceberg because there’s plenty more films, TV shows and documentaries to keep you entertained.
Here are some of the highlights that stood out.
Movies
Pain & Gain
Based on a true story, Pain & Gain follows a group of bodybuilders who engage in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. The Rock stars in this one and he’s always worth a watch.
The Hardy Bucks Movie
The Hardy Bucks need no introduction and if you haven’t seen Castletown’s finest big-screen debut then you’re in for a treat. The lads finally leave the village and head out on a wild road trip across Europe in this very Irish comedy.
Despicable Me 2
With the new Minions film just after being released in cinemas, now is the perfect time to catch up on their madness during Despicable Me 2. Banana!
The Lone Ranger
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer star in this action-packed reboot of the 1950s TV series as Native American warrior Tonto joins forces with lawman John Reid to clean up the Old West.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost re-team with director Edgar Wright in this quirky sci-fi that manages to find time to hit the pub before the apocalypse.
Twenty years after their first epic pub crawl attempt, five mates reunite in their hometown to complete the ultimate pub crawl.
There’s only one problem though, the world is about to end.
A Walk Among The Tombstones
Based on Lawrence Block’s bestselling series of novels, A Walk Among the Tombstones stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating outside of the law.
When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker hunt down the men who kidnapped and murdered his wife, the PI learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of twisted crime.
TV shows
BoJack Horseman
BoJack’s back and this year he’s trying to be a better Horseman. The hit Netflix original series returns for a new season with guest star Lisa Kudrow.

Wet Hot American Summer
It’s the first day of camp in this prequel to the 2001 cult classic movie.
The cast in this Netflix original series is very impressive and I’m intrigued to see how they’re going to spoof those summer camp and ’80s teenager movies that we all love.
The cast in this is seriously impressive – Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce and Paul Rudd are just some of the actors that will be popping into Camp Firewood – and this has the potential to be a hit.

Dragons : Race To The Edge
I’ll happily admit that I absolutely loved the original How To Train Your Dragon so I’m glad to see that Hiccup and Toothless are back in a new series.
The duo are on a mission to explore strange new worlds, seek out never-before-seen dragons and end the war between Vikings and dragons once and for all.
If it’s half as good as the original then I’ll be happy.
Big School
The dysfunctional teaching staff at a secondary school have to cope with unrequited love, interactive white boards and their new recruit.
Little Britain’s David Walliams and Catherine Tate star in this one.
