A fine list.
Room, My Name is Emily and Sing Street all feature heavily in the list of nominations for the 2016 Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs) announced this morning.
All three movies scored eight nominations apiece, while there were seven for Brooklyn and Viva, the Spanish-language film directed by Paddy Breathnach that was nominated for an Oscar last year.
TG4’s An Klondike was also well-represented with nine nominations, as was Rebellion with eight, while Hollywood heavyweights Colin Farrell, Michael Fassbender, Saoirse Ronan and Domhnall Gleeson all scored nominations for their performances in The Lobster, Steve Jobs and Brooklyn.
Check out the list of nominations in full below.
