Killing Eve is back on 7 April.
If you’re going to confess to killing someone, you might as well do it in a frilly pink dress that would make Little Bo Peep blush. Then again, we’re fairly certain that the psychopathic assassin Villanelle never really cared for contrition.
In fact, as Season One of Killing Eve demonstrated, the wheels are firmly off as Sandra Oh’s character hunts down the world’s most unhinged killer, Eve Polastri.
Ever since we met Villanelle when she tipped over that little child’s ice cream, we knew that Killing Eve was the type of show that took sadistic pleasure in subverting expectations and the second season looks set to amplify that.
Oh yes, the well-dressed killer is back and she hasn’t lost any of her sardonic wit as the show gets set to return in the US on 7 April; we especially loved her line to the blogger that wanted a picture.
After last year’s cliffhanger, which saw the characters get closer and further apart, it appears that the warped relationship is set to take some stranger turns in Season Two as the chase continues.
At present, no date for an Irish broadcast has been announced, but we fully expect one to be announced very soon.
Take a look at what’s in store.
