WATCH: BBC have released the first clip from Louis Theroux’s upcoming documentary series

Rudi Kinsella

It doesn’t give too much away, but that doesn’t mean we’re not gonna get excited over it.

We’re very excited for Louis Theroux’s upcoming documentary series, and we’re sure you are too.

His upcoming series entitled Dark States intends to explore the “unusual ways modern America deals with birth, love and death.”

This doesn’t sound like the most upbeat documentary series we’ve ever heard of, but the first clip that BBC released of the series will definitely bring a smile to your face.

It’s Louis Theroux very happily scooting around a housing estate in America on a scooter.

No more, no less.

Just look how happy he is!

We reckon that Theroux has reached a stage where people are so excited for him to release a new documentary that him riding around on a scooter is more than enough to get us excited.

With regards to his new features, Theroux said: “I have always been interested in how people conduct the most intimate aspects of their lives.

For this series we looked at the new ways Americans are approaching some of humanity’s oldest dilemmas: pregnant mums who feel unequipped to keep their babies and so pick new parents for them; the world of polyamory aka ‘ethical non-monogamy’; and people with debilitating conditions who opt to hasten their own deaths.”
