It’s got 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
If you’re looking to catch a bit of a break from the non-stop Olympics action this evening, there are plenty of great movies on TV to switch over to.
Our pick of the bunch is this highly rated sci-fi gem from 2021 – Save Yourselves!
Starring John Paul Reynolds (Stranger Things) and Sunita Mani (Mr Robot), the sci-fi comedy has a pretty unique premise – focusing on a couple who decide to have a quiet weekend in the woods to disconnect, only for the world to erupt into chaos in the meantime.
Released in the depths of Covid, Save Yourselves! was overlooked upon release, but received high praise and retains an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film has been praised by critics for towing the line perfectly between serious sci-fi thrills and comedic elements from its two lead characters.
If that seems like your thing, then you can catch Save Yourselves! on Film Four at 10.50pm tonight.
