Here is your Thursday evening movie menu!
If you want to check out this De Niro thriller, you better watch it tonight, because it isn’t available anywhere else online at the moment! Aside from that, here are the other movies on TV for tonight…
The Old Man and the Gun – FilmFour – 7.10pm
Robert Redford is fantastic in this real-world romantic drama about a serial bank robber who continues to break the law well into his 70s.
Tomorrow Never Dies – ITV4 – 8pm
Pierce Bronsan’s second outing as James Bond, which is also his second-best outing as James Bond.
Blended – Comedy Central – 9pm
The worst of the three Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore rom-com pairings.
A Quiet Place Part II – FilmFour – 9pm
The just-as-good sequel sees Emily Blunt and her family continue to survive in the post-apocalytic, alien-ravaged world, crossing paths with Cillian Murphy in the process.
Fury – ITV4 – 10.25pm
Brad Pitt headlines a group of WWII tank soldiers in this tense wartime thriller.
The Omen – BBC Four – 10.30pm
A classic horror that is probably singularly responsible for the drop in parents naming their kids Damien.
The Score – AMC – 10.45pm
Our main pick for tonight is The Score, a truly underappreciated thriller starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Marlon Brando. De Niro plays an aging master thief and the edge of retirement when Norton arrives with one final gig that promises an absolutely huge payout for everyone involved. If you don’t catch it tonight, The Score is currently unavailable on ANY streaming or rental services in Ireland or the UK, so we’d recommend recording it if you want to check it out at a later date. But it should get you in the mood for the great new De Niro movie arriving in cinemas this week.
Hereditary – FilmFour – 10.50pm
One of the best horrors of the 21st century, starring Toni Collette and Gabriel Byrne as the parents of a family being tormented by horrific events.
Universal Soldier – AMC – 1.15am
Is this basically Jean-Claude Van Damme trying to do his own Terminator? Yes. Is it as good as Terminator? No. Is it still sorta fun? Yes.
