Brad Pitt’s biggest movie is among the movies on TV tonight

Rory Cashin

Some very big movies on your telly this Sunday evening…

Not as many spooky movies on the TV tonight, but plenty of other options to choose from…

Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow – Comedy Central – 8.25pm
There were seven of these? Good lord…

The Magnificent Seven – RTE2 – 9pm
Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt headline this remake of the classic western. It is the definition of mediocre.

Blade Runner 2049 – BBC Three – 10pm
One of the best looking movies ever made, even without Ryan Gosling and Ana De Armas among the cast.

World War Z – E4 – 10pm

Our main pick for tonight is World War Z, the biggest box office hit of Brad Pitt’s career. A huge action horror zombie epic, Pitt plays a scientist who has to travel the world to attempt to find the source and a potential cure to a disease that is killing off and then reanimating the vast majority of the human population. If you miss it tonight, World War Z is available to rent on Google Play, Sky Store and Rakuten TV in Ireland and the UK right now.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol – FilmFour – 10pm
The fourth one. A really good one.

Caddyshack – Comedy Central – 10pm
Chevy Chase and Bill Murray beat Adam Sandler to the whacky golf comedy by several years.

The Woman In Black – Sky Showcase – 10pm
A decently spooky ghost story starring Daniel Radcliffe, who admittedly looks way too young to be a grieving father.

D-Tox – ITV4 – 12am
A truly terrible serial killer thriller starring Sly Stallone.

Texas Chainsaw – Sky Showcase – 12am
The 2013 prequel to the classic original, it scores 19% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Zombieland: Double Tap – E4 – 12.10am
A disappointing comedy horror sequel.
