Netflix has just added 19 huge movies to its library

Rory Cashin

Some great (and some not so great) new Netflix additions this week.

As Netflix prepares to reportedly raise its prices once again, at the very least they’re still expanding their movie library to match that increasing cost. Here are the 19 big movies added to the Netflix library this week that we reckon are worth your attention:

BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP
Nicole Kidman, Mark Strong and Colin Firth star in this decently entertaining psychological thriller.

BIKER BOYZ
One of the many movies that tried (and failed) to rip-off the Fast and the Furious formula. This one has Lawrence Fishburne, Lisa Bonet and – unsurprisingly – loads of motorbikes.

CALL ME BY YOUR NAME
A teenage boy (Timothee Chalamet) begins a relationship with an older student (Armie Hammer) while on holiday with his family in Italy. One of the most beloved coming of age dramas of recent years.

THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT
The third outing in the Conjuring movies focuses on the true story of the first – and, to date, only – time an actual case was brought to court in America involving a death at an exorcism.

CRAZY STUPID LOVE
An incredible cast – Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, Marisa Tomei – star in one of the better rom-coms of the 21st century.

FOUR BROTHERS
Four adopted brothers – Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, Andre 3000 and Garrett Hedlund – set out to get revenge on the people responsible for the death of their adoptive mother (Fionnula Flanagan). A very odd duck of a movie, but not without its charms.

GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN’
Six-time Oscar-nominee Jim Sheridan directs the life story of 50 Cent. 16% on Rotten Tomatoes should tell you everything you need to know.

HALLOWEEN (1978)
An addition so recent that it made our very recent 15 best scary movies on Netflix list. The OG entry in the horror franchise, and still the best.

INFINITE
Mark Wahlberg again, this time in a big-budget sci-fi action adventure about a man who realises the visions he is suffering from are actual peaks into his own past lives. A dumb and not very fun movie.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
The Rock tags in for Brendan Fraser in this family-friendly action adventure.

MORNING GLORY
Having landed her dream job behind the scenes of a hit morning show, the producer (Rachel McAdams) now has to find a way to make the show’s two hosts (Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton) actually get along.

NATIONAL SECURITY
A terrible – TERRIBLE! – action comedy with Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn.

NORBIT
Famously one of the worst movies to ever be nominated for an Oscar.

NOWHERE
A Netflix exclusive thriller, telling the story of a pregnant woman who finds herself trapped in a shipping container that has been lost at sea. We haven’t seen it yet, but it is apparently okay.

REPTILE
Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone feature in this drama about an investigation into a murder. The performances are mostly great, but the story itself just isn’t super interesting.

RIDE ALONG
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart star in this action comedy. Its… not great.

ROCKS
With a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is one of the best new additions to the pile this week. A coming-of-age drama about a teenage girl forced to take care of herself and her younger brother following their mother’s sudden departure.

SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY
We’re still very proud of our headline for this back when it was first released: Space Jam 2? More like Face Palm, Poo.

UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS
The fifth and final entry in the Kate Beckinsale-kills-werewolves series. Are the other four already on Netflix? Nope. Why just add the last one? No idea.
