Know anyone that fits the bill?
There are a number of problems that come from being tall. For example, public transport was not made with you in mind. Cars, baths, and door frames are incredible tricky to navigate too. Aside from this, you’re constantly asked ‘how’s the weather up there?’
Well, if you’re a girl, you’ll be pleased to know that Netflix’s brand new original comedy film are looking for someone of that description.
If you’re a girl that’s over 5’10”, Netflix’s new show Tall Girl is looking for you to audition.
The online streaming giant are looking for an actress that’s aged 13- 21, who is 5-foot-10 or taller, to star in its upcoming original comedy film
In terms of the film’s plot, here’s the official synopsis: “Growing up is all about figuring out who you are, and the 2019 Netflix original live action comedy film Tall Girl captures that rite of passage by following a 16 year old who must embrace what makes her different and be proud to stand out, not fit in. Capturing the tone of classic John Hughes movies, Tall Girl explores the nuanced and delicate relationships that make high school challenging, frustrating, memorable, and uplifting.”
Comparisons to John Hughes – he directed Ferris Bueller’s Day Off , Uncle Buck and The Breakfast Club – now that’s a tall order.
Tall Girl is directed by Nzingha Stewart (Grey’s Anatomy, A Million Little Things) and it’s written by Sam Wolfson.
Auditions are open to girls on a worldwide basis and if you – or somebody that you know is interested – all the relevant information can be found here.
Auditions must be submitted before 21 November 2018 and the film starts shooting in January 2019.
It’s a tall order, but we think you’re up to it.
