Netflix have launched their ‘Netflix Recommended TV’ initiative which tells us which idiot-box is the best to watch their streaming service. Sets manufactured by Sony, Sharp, Vizio, LG and Roku TVs (yep, that’s a new one on us too) will begin to carry the logo this spring.
Netflix say that TVs bearing the logo will have attained certain ‘performance criteria’ targets including fast app launch, fast resuming of video playback or the ability to power a TV directly into the Netflix app. Give your existing TV a little pat on the back if it does any or all of the above.
The US will get it first before roll out across the rest of the world later this year.
