We know nothing.
Like a flayed body that’s being raised above the Dreadfort, the anticipation for Game of Thrones Season 6 is rising with every passing day.
The new promos landed on Friday evening and while they’re fairly brief and cryptic, they do let us speculate about the fate of some of our favourite characters.
Here’s what we think is going on.
War for Winterfell
Right now, House Bolton are the Wardens of the North and they’re in an incredibly strong position having crushed Stannis’ army at the end of Season 5.
The sadistic Ramsay seems intent on cementing his position in Winterfell but as we mentioned before, all is not lost for House Stark.
The North remembers but they need someone to rally those scattered houses that were loyal to them, the wildlings that have been granted sanctuary and those Night’s Watch soldiers that were loyal to a certain bastard.
Only one man could do this, Jon Snow.

The fact that Ramsay is voicing over a segment that features Stark banners might also imply that the recently escaped Sansa could also be about to exact her revenge.
There’s also a more sadistic theory that’s being mentioned and it’s perfectly fitting with Ramsay’s character.
Roose Bolton is currently expecting a son – the legitimate heir to his title of Warden of the North and the Bolton throne. We wouldn’t be surprised if Ramsay makes a grab for power and kills his own father.

Daenerys is in deep Dothraki doo-doo.

In the promo above, it’s clear that the most imminent threat to House Targaryen is from someone that’s speaking to Dany in Dothraki.
Khal Drogo may have been able to protect his former wife from his fellow tribe members but Daenerys could be in deep trouble now, especially if it’s Khal Jhaqo that’s leading the Dothraki.
In their eyes, Dany is still tainted from using black magic in an effort to save her husbands life and some Dothraki might be angry at her decision to abandon Khal Drogo and their traditions.
Can she find a way out of her predicament or even overthrow the current Khal and add to her growing army? This photo would suggest that she’s about to kick-ass.

Cersei may have been shamed in her very public repentance but it seems that the Faith Militant and the Lannisters are still at each others throats.
Jonathan Pryce, aka the High Sparrow, has already said that his character is a ‘game changer’ but this quest to ‘overthrow an empire’ would indicate that he’s not done cleaning up Westeros yet.
King’s Landing looks like it’s on the brink of civil war and with the eyes of the realm focused on what’s happening in the Southern regions, this could be the perfect time for Daenerys to invade or for the White Walkers to breach the wall with minimum fuss.
Let us know what you think.
