Nidge and the boys return as RTE unveil their new season of shows

RTE today announced a new jam packed schedule including Love/Hate and some new drama and factual shows.

JOE

RTE today announced a new jam-packed schedule including Love/Hate and some new drama and factual shows.

We are very excited to see where the Love/Hate crew go from here. We are already aware of some plot details/spoilers, thanks to some of the tabloids, for the upcoming season but never the less we can’t wait to see the what happens. We have so many questions; is Nidge gone mad? Will Fran break ranks? Will the guards play a bigger role? Did Tommy ever get that fizzy orange?

Anyway Love/Hate was not the only thing announced on the schedule so we have hand picked a few of the shows RTE are scheduling that we are interested to see.

Love/Hate

Obviously we are eagerly looking froward to Stuart Carolan’s fifth season of the show which consistently has improved season by season.

Charlie

Nope nothing to do with Charlie Sheen. This is a historical drama about Charlie Haughey played by Aidan Gillen (Lord Baelish – Game of Throne’s, John Boy – Love/Hate). This follows Haughey’s life while still in office as a politician.

The Fall

The second series of the dark drama set in Belfast starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan returns for a second season. The series which follows D.S. Stella Gibson (Anderson) investigating a series of murders carried out by Paul Spector (Dornan).

Donal Og Cusack – Pride

Donal Og Cusack blazed a trail in Ireland as an openly gay sporting personality and in this doc he travels the country to investigate how life has changed for gay people since homosexuality was decriminalised.
