SARI celebrated it’s 18th Sport Against Racism Soccerfest with some familiar faces. Coola-boola.

The Love/Hate cast may be totally dominant when it comes to the Irish airwaves but that didn’t stop them from loosing to an All-Star team at SARI’s 18th Soccerfest.

Their team featured Aidan Gillen, Peter Coonan, Stuart Carolan, Laurence Kinlan, Barry Keoghan and Johnny Ward but they lost 2-1 to the All-Stars.

JOE is fairly confident that they wont be taking any gangster type revenge though because it looks like everyone had a blast whilst promoting a very good cause.

Peter Coonan AKA Fran the Man scored for FC Love/Hate (that’s what we’re going to call them) but The All-Stars, featuring Dubs legend Jason Sherlock, Irish U-21 manager Noel King and women’s rugby team members Marie Louise Reilly & Jenny Murphy were too strong.

The game was refereed by former Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr who we’re all big fans of in JOE Towers.

The new season of Love/Hate returns to our screens soon and we can’t wait.

Fair play to everyone who turned out to the Phoenix Park and if you want to read up on the important work that SARI do in encouraging integration through sport then you can do so here.
