In between plotting and scheming for the Underwoods, it seems Doug Stamper, or his real life persona Michael Kelly, likes to chill around Dublin to unwind.
Kelly was spotted out and about in the capital this weekend as he celebrated his birthday by soaking in some of what Ireland has to offer.
The House of Cards star was spoken of his Irish heritage before by revealing it’s his grandfather’s homeland and he hoped to visit our shores some day.

Although most famous for his role in Netflix’s hugely popular show, Kelly has also starred in movies such as Man Of Steel, Everest and Law Abiding Citizen.
From what we’ve seen, Michael had a great time in Ireland and we’re sure he’s putting in a good word to the producers of House of Cards to get Frank and Claire to visit…
