We finally know…
Obviously, this post contains spoilers for Season 1 and Season 2 of Stranger Things.

Ever since Netflix dropped the trailer for Stranger Things during the Super Bowl, which appeared to show Eleven alive and well, and a monster terrorising the town, people have been losing their minds over what will happen during the forthcoming season.
The show will begin one year after the end of Season 1 according to co-creator Matt Duffer, who spoke to Entertainment Weekly.
He revealed that Will Byers is going through post-traumatic stress disorder, and we know from the end of the first season that he wasn’t in a good way.
“He seems to be seeing images from the Upside Down — the question is whether they’re real or not,” said Duffer.
Joyce (Winona Ryder) is now dating an old classmate and Sheriff Hopper is making an effort to cover up the events of the first season.
“It kind of falls on Hopper to be the voice of authority to say, ‘This did happen and this didn’t happen,’” Harbour told EW. “He’s struggling with the compromise that takes him to, having to lie and cover things up.”
Nancy and Mike are left to deal with the deaths of their friends. In Nancy’s case, Barb, and for Mike it’s the supposed death of Eleven.
Duffer revealed that the pair will struggle immensely at the start of the season, and the pair are the most “screwed up” of any of the returning characters.
There will be the introduction of two new characters, one of which will act as a romantic interest for Lucas and Dustin.
The Upside Down world will still be there. Surprise, surprise.
The most brilliant part of all? That it won’t all be scary, and Dustin (our favourite character) will adopt a friendly “polliwog-like” pet.
