There must have been a bit of crouching tiger, hidden naggin going on.
The Late Late Show last Friday night is up there with the most entertaining in the history of the long-running TV show.
We expected the Valentine’s special to be lively, but what we got was a high-octane, laugh-a-minute cringefest that we couldn’t take our eyes off of.
The audience were in great form and Twitter was unanimous in their verdict that everyone was drunk, well, very very tipsy anyway.
The Late Late Show have had their say on that matter today, and a spokesperson rubbished rumours that the crowd were given extra alcohol.
She said; “As with every show, members of the audience are offered a small amount of complimentary refreshments (alcohol and non-alcohol) before the show.
“The standard amount of refreshments were offered to Friday night’s audience.
“The Late Late Show broadcast a St Valentine’s special on Friday night. With 200 single people it’s fair to say that love and excitement was in the air.”
The next time we’re out on a night out, we’re ordering a pint of love and excitement with a dash of orange, that should set us up for the night.
