Holy moly, it’s so controversial…

Seth Rogen and James Franco’s ‘Most Controversial Film In The World EVER’, The Interview, is coming to Netflix on 24 January 2015.

Everybody chill your beans though, as The Interview is only being released on Netflix in United States and Canada for now, with no official word on whether subscribers in Ireland or the UK will be able to view it any time soon.

Unless, y’know, you have one of them there, ahem, not-so-legal means of viewing the online streaming service.

With Netflix’s rumoured stamp down on the illegal streaming of US Netflix outside of the States, along with North Korea’s vow to nuke anybody’s house who watches the film*, it seems like this could be the most dangerous film to watch since your mammy warned you not to watch Showgirls for the 18th time back in 1995.

Following plans to scrap its theatrical release, Sony wound up releasing the comedy via independent cinemas in the US and streaming services such as YouTube Movies, Google Play, iTunes and other on-demand services.

Here’s a wee reminder of what all of the fuss is about. Have we mentioned that it’s controversial?

*A ‘vow’ which we made up just there now.
