Roll on January 13…
The official trailer for the Netflix series adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events books has been released, and people are very excited.
Plot’s it all about: The series is based around three children who’s parents have tragically perished in a fire, and who are sent to live with a man named Count Olaf. It quickly emerges that Olaf is an evil man, who wants to kill the children to inherit the fortune.
The trailer prominently features Neil Patrick Harris as the devious Count Olaf, as well as the three tragic children Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire. The books were adapted into an Oscar winning movie 12 years ago.
The trailer also shows the great Neil Patrick Harris taking some inspiration from Jim Carrey’s excellent performance in the role, disguising himself in a number of different outfits.

There was 13 books, which lends itself perfectly to the format of a Netflix series. All 8 episodes land on Friday the 13th of January, which is a fitting date considering the dark tone of the series.
