For the majority of the world, the end of the summer season means that it’s time to bring the duvet onto the couch and start planning which box-set is going to be cracked into during the cold winter months.

Then again, we live in Ireland so the weather has us spending more time in front of the TV than most.

It seems that we’re all happy on the couch though and here’s what we have all been watching on RTE so far this year.

It seems that we can’t get enough political controversy, enigmatic leaders and divisive politicians because the Aiden Gillen starring biopic ‘Charlie’ topped the list after getting 851,700 bums on seats.
