Matt Damon stars in the new movie from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, set in the year 2159 where a war-torn Earth has been abandoned by the rich, leaving the poor to die.

Neill Blomkamp is back with another sci-fi themed movie, set on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2159. For the rich who live in Elysium, an artificial world built on a space station, they have no poverty, no sickness, and want for nothing.
For those left behind on a war torn earth, they are left to die, until Max Coburn (Matt Damon) decides to remedy the situation.
The movie also stars Jodie Foster as the mayor of Elysium, and a few other names who appeared in Blomkamp’s District 9, like Sharlto Copley.
From the trailer, this is visually a pretty impressive movie, and should be a pretty big box office hit when it comes out later this year at some stage in August.
