We’ve been waiting for this.
When Keanu Reeves is on form he’s one of the finest actor’s around – and the man was pure Neo in the first John Wick film two years ago. The first trailer for the sequel dropped today, and it looks like the follow-up is going to be just as action-packed, at least if we’re going on the range of firearms on display.
Reeves’ typically deadpan delivery sets off the trailer before all hell breaks loose, setting the scene for a movie that’s sure to do the job for the adrenaline junkies.
David Leitch, who was co-director of the original film, is at the helm of this one too as a producer while Chad Stahelski as director is just the same. No reason to change a winning formula. Ian McShane, who picked up a lot of acclaim for his brief role in the most recent season of Game of Thrones joins the cast, as does rapper and actor Common.
John Leguizamo and Bridget Moynihan will reprise their roles as, of course, does Reeves.
The movie is expected to hit the big screen in February 2017.
