Denzel Washington is a lush pilot who saves the day in new movie Flight.

Denzel Washington plays a hero pilot Captain Whip Whitaker, who manages to land a plane in extreme circumstances, loaded up on booze. Everyone should be happy yes? No, because his blood results after the crash landing reveals his high intoxication level and so he is brought to court for endangering peoples lives.
The odd thing is, no other pilot can land the plane in a simulation of the same circumstances. Guess you have to be buzzed to land a doomed plane so. John Goodman plays Harling Mays, Whips mate and incidentally his cocaine dealer. Whip is a functioning addict but the crash changes all that and forces him to look at his addictions.
Don Cheadle stars as Whip’s union lawyer who tries to defend him against the big guys. The director Robert Zemeckis, of Back to the Future, Forest Gump and Castaway fame will hopefully bring his legendary skill to this drama action movie.
