If you were to take a step back and compare the superb Game of Thrones with the classic film The Princess Bride, there’s an awful lot of similarities between the two.
Epic quests, mythological beasts, revenge, monarchs, knights and swordfights feature in both although we’re certain that Rob Reiner’s film didn’t have as much eye-gouging, limbs flaying and blood splattering as the superb HBO show.
This is extremely NSFW but it’s also a work of genius.
