We’d no idea Aran jumpers could be such a hard sell, but it’s nothing Uncle Tex can’t sort out.
Although the economic situation now might not be as bad as it was in the depths of the recession, there are still businesses in Ireland struggling to stay afloat these days.
In an effort to survive they could do worse than call on the services of Uncle Tex, the no-nonsense, motorbike-riding, gun-toting renegade called upon to save an endangered woollen mill in a sketch on Republic of Telly last night.
Some will spot similarities with American reality TV series American Chopper and some more will spot traces of Eddie Durkan from the Hardy Bucks in the character of Uncle Tex in the clip above, but with no shortage of violence, scantily-clad women and, of course, Aran jumpers, the sketch is well worth a couple of minutes of your time.
