Into the White is a WW II survival tale where opposing sides shoot each other down in snowy Norway, and then must rely on each other to survive
by Genna Patterson
You may recognise a face in Into the White – Rupert Grint played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies. In an effort to move on from being the cursed wizard’s pal, Grint takes on the role of a pilot shot down over deep winter in Norway with his fellow soldiers.

The pilots discover a small hut, a savior to them in snow covered remote Norway. However, they are soon joined by German pilots, also shot down… and they realise that they shot each other down and they are enemies. The Germans take them prisoner, but it becomes evident that in order to survive, they must work together.
Directed by Norwegian director Petter Næss, but shot in English (no subtitles, hallelujah), this film is based on a true story from 1940 where English and German pilots shot each other down and crash landed. Despite their difference, the enemies build a friendship in order to survive.
Release date September 28.
