G.I. Joe Retaliation has released a new trailer for the Japanese market, with new scenes you haven’t seen before.
The Japanese trailer appears to ditch any attention to the plot compared to the US and European trailers. Instead, the Japanese trailer shows plenty of action, a few new scenes of Bruce Willis getting all aggressive and a voice over by a Japanese version of ‘the trailer guy’.
In case you aren’t distracted by all the action (and lets face it its hard not to be), the storyline involves the Joes fighting against Commander Cobra, recently released from prison and with a band of henchmen called Zartan, Storm Shadow and Firefly. Zartan impersonates the President of the United States and bad-mouths the Joes as traitors to America.
The G.I. Joes have nowhere to turn but to call in Bruce Willis, the original Joe, General Joseph Colton. G.I. Joe Retaliation is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of Zombieland fame and stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson and Walton Goggins.
Release date March 27, 2013.
