We sent our own Eric Lalor down to Grafton Street to ask the general public if there was there anything out there that they could buy for just one Euro.
JOE.ie took to the streets in conjunction with UPC to ask the good people of Dublin what they think they can get for €1. Half A Mars Bar? A quarter of a pint? A couple of minutes parking in the city centre? I think we can all agree that you’re not going to get much bang for your buck in this day and age. We spoke to young and old and let’s face it, the older generation can reminisce about what you could get back in the day, but those days have long gone.
JOE remembers a time when you could get an ice-cream, a packet of crisps and still have the bus-fare to get home from a good day at the seaside. As Bob Dylan once mused, the times… they are a changin’. Even the one Euro shops have disappeared! They’ve been replaced by their upmarket counterparts, the two Euro shops. Okay, they’re not more upmarket, they have the same stuff, they’re just more expensive.
Have a look below at what the people on the street think…
There you have it folks, people aren’t too optimistic in how far their Euro goes these days.
Dont’ worry though, you can get Sky Sports for €1 per month for 6 months with thanks to UPC. You can get the full details here.
