Don Coscarelli, director of Bubba Ho Tep – the strange tale of Elvis and a black John F Kennedy in a retirement home trying to escape zombies, is the man behind John Dies at the End. If you’ve seen Bubba Ho Tep, then you are prepared for this movie, if not, good luck.

The storyline goes that there’s a new street drug, soy sauce, that sends its users into new times and dimensions. Sounds great huh? Well not really, as some of the drug users return as being no longer human. Just go with it, it doesn’t have to make sense. Two college drop outs, John and Dave set out to try and save the world from the silent invasion.

Our guess is that John dies, we can’t think why though. Starring Paul Giamatti (The Ides of March and Sideways), the movie is based on the novel of the same name by Jason Pargin, under the pseudonym David Wong.

John Dies at the End is out March 22.
