6 Souls sees a possessed Jonathan Rhys Myers lead Julianne Moore on a body hunt.

Julianne Moore plays Dr. Cara Harding, whose husband has died and with it her faith in God. Her father introduces her to Adam (Rhys Meyers) in an attempt to open her up to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories.
Adam is diagnosed as having multiple personality disorder, however Dr. Harding discovers that he is possessed and his personalities are actually murder victims. As she pursues each victim with him she puts herself and her family in danger as she gets closer to the truth.
The Weinstein Company made 6 Souls a good while ago, in 2009 in fact, but it’s unclear why they decided to shelve it until now. It is directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein who directed Underworld Awakening. The pair actually directed 6 Souls, then called Shelter, before Underworld Awakening (2012) was released.

Rhys Meyers is currently shooting the Sky Living and NBC show Dracula, a ten-part series set in London in the 1890’s. Rhys Meyers will play an undercover Dracula posing as businessman Alan Grayson. He comes to London in search of revenge on those who made him a vampire.
It seems Rhys Meyers has found his calling then, playing creepy characters Dracula and the possessed Adam in 6 Souls. The Cork actor has had numerous issues with alcoholism and has gone to rehab a few times. Let’s hope this is his road to recovery for his career and personal life.
6 Souls is due for release on April 9 nationwide.
