Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess star in a new sci-fi movie Upside Down
by Genna Patterson
Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman) and Jim Sturgess (One Day, 21) live on opposite sides of the world, one is up and the other is down. To both of them it seems the other world is upside down (hence the film name).
The planet is unique from others as it has dual gravity. The gravity has three rules: All matter is pulled by the gravity of the world it comes from, not the other, an objects weight can be offset by matter from the opposite world and matter in contact with the inverse for a prolonged period, will burn.
You can see where this is going. Adam (Sturgess) meets Eden (Dunst) when they are kids and eventually goes looking for her in the other world. But how long until he will burn up before finding her, and can he survive?
Directed by Argentine director Juan Diego Solanas, who has done L’homme Sans Tete and Nordeste.
Release is due late spring.
