Charlie Sheen is not the Irish jockey Charlie Swan in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III. He is, however, a graphic designer who gets dumped by his girlfriend and goes on a strange pilgrimage. With a supporting cast of Bill Murray and Joseph Schwartzman, this movie looks set to be a new version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
The director is Roman Coppola and this is his first venture directing a feature length in over a decade. Coppola co-wrote the Wes Anderson directed movie Moonrise Kingdom and seems to have borrowed some of his regular cast members and cinematography style in A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III.
The movie will certainly be a peculiar one by the looks of the trailer, and not just because its starring Charlie ‘king of public head cases’ Sheen. It is set for release in the US on February 8, with no confirmed date for Ireland yet.
