The word is spreading. About time too.
Here in Ireland we’ve known about the tasty and tempting food that Supermac’s have to offer for decades and it seems as if the rest of the world is cottoning onto it too.
Plans to open the franchise in Australia were temporarily stalled last year but America could be the next big stop for the chain of restaurants that started off in Ballinasloe in the late 1970s.
Why? Well, didn’t it only get a mention on major US TV show Scandal last night, as JOE reader Eoghan Doyle spotted while his, eh, wife, was watching it on Sky Living.
@SupermacsIRE @JOEdotie your one off Scandal is mad for Supermacs. The wife was watching it I swear. #Supermacs pic.twitter.com/XPHMOEq2Mc

In the episode, Olivia (Kerry Washington) tells the President (Tony Goldwyn) about a late night visit to Supermac’s, sounding like a woman who feels guilty about tucking into a smokey bacon burger and a curry cheese chips after the nightclub.
We’ve all been there Olivia, we’ve all been there.
