Sylvester Stallone is a hit man teaming up with a cop in new action adventure Bullet to the Head.
By Genna Patterson
It’s great to see Stallone back on form, with The Expendables 2 and now Bullet to the Head this year. We never get tired of a Sly action movie at JOE towers, oh no.
Stallone is Jimmy Bobo, a hitman close to retirement. But when a gang kidnaps his daughter he must team up with a Washington DC Detective Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang) to find her. The pair are brought together by the two bloody murders of their partners.
The adventure leads them from the dingy underground to the prestigious upper class in New Orleans. While Detective Taylor Kwon wants justice, Jimmy Bobo just wants revenge. Stallone works best when he wants revenge. He also gets to axe-fight with Conan the Barbarian‘s Jason Momoa.
A Bullet to the Head is based on a French graphic novel by Alexis Nolent called ‘Du Plomb dans La Tete’, a translation of the same name. The producers were also behind I Am Number Four. Christian Slater also stars as a character called Marcus Baptiste.
The director, Walter Hill directed TV’s Deadwood and produced Prometheus.
Release date February 1 nationwide.
