We missed Republic of Telly while it away and probably the one thing we missed more than most was the antics of Bridget and Eamon, the most dysfunctional yet still lovable couple seen on Irish television since John and Mary in Father Ted.
We’re glad to say that they made a welcome return in tonight’s episode when welcoming a foreign student called Sergio into their home and their strange little world, with Sergio quickly making himself at home by sharing Eamon’s love of ham, his love of hurling and taking a shine to the man of the house that Eamon himself was a little slow to catch onto.
Still can’t hurl for shite though.
