This might even be worse than ‘Dumble Gleeson.’
Domhnall Gleeson’s The Revenant co-star Leo DiCaprio thoroughly screwed up the Irish actor’s name at this year’s Golden Globes ceremony and it certainly wasn’t second time lucky for the Irishman at the BAFTAs.
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, who scooped up Best Director last night for The Revenant, said a warm thank you to his “Irish friend whose name I can’t-” before giving “Domhnall Gleeson” his best go to absolutely no avail at all.
The audience had a good chuckle and Iñárritu said “Sorry Domhnall”, actually getting it pretty spot on at the second time of asking.

To be fair to him, we’re probably not 100% on how you pronounce Iñárritu – the squiggly thing above the n get us every time.
